Update on Princesses Don't Fight in Skirts

So I'm still slaving away on the umpteenth draft of Princesses Don't Fight in Skirts, and now the end is FINALLY in sight! The funny thing is that this story actually came first before Princesses Don't Get Fat; in fact, I imagined Valeria and Ari as the same protagonist! However, it turned out that I couldn't see a princess being both vain and not caring about being fat, so I had to split them into two. And I was having trouble with Ari, waaaaaay back in October, so I dropped the project and started on Valeria's story instead. And when Princesses Don't Get Fat was completed and published in January, I tried to jump back into Princesses Don't Fight in Skirts, but still kept getting blocked. Finally, after multiple drafts that I don't even feel like counting, I think this draft will be the last one. Oh, it definitely will need a lot of editing, but no more major plot changes. I can't believe that it took me eight months to finalize this short novel! Definitely still have a looooong way to climb on this writer's journey.

By the way, here is the most adorable latte art that I've had at a local coffee shop here in Tainan, my lovely hometown. A writer friend and I met up for coffee, and we spent three hours here, talking a lot and getting very little done! Writing in coffee shops sounds romantic, but it doesn't work for me! It's usually cramped and uncomfortable, and I need to get up now and then to stretch. It's fun to pop in once in a while, but not on a daily basis. Plus, given the price of a cup of coffee, it simply isn't economically viable...and probably not good for the body either!

Isn't this the cutest latte art ever? It's easy to see where it comes from--the owner of the cafe keeps two sleek kitties on site!
